Required Immunizations

  • Must be up-to-date to start school, if your child is not finished with a series, we need to see proof of the next appointment and schedule for completion of the series.
  • Students without completed immunizations will be conditionally enrolled for 90 days. After 90 days, you will need to complete the vaccinations before your child can return to school.

Student Illness

To protect everyone, when your child is sick, we will need you to keep them at home for 24 hours from their last symptom without medication.
If your child is not able to learn or participate in school activities, we may suggest that they go home to rest and recover.
Stay at home if:
  • Temperature > 100.4 degrees F.
  • Active vomiting or diarrhea (more than one time)
  • Sore Throat
  • Excessive Tiredness

Please make sure that medical information is always up to date.

Medical care plans, signed by a healthcare provider, are needed if your child has a chronic medical condition that you need us to monitor and/or possibly give medication for. Examples: asthma, seizure disorder, diabetes, severe allergies.

Scheduled medications needed at school also require a provider-signed form, the MCPS medication permission form.  Forms are available online at the MCPS website or you may stop by the school to get one.
